This publication tells the story of Drimnagh Castle, Dublin, its ancient buildings and traces their evolution over the centuries. It examines the castle architecturally and documents all of the recent changes that have been made to it since the 1980s, when it underwent major restoration. It is hoped that it will stand in future years as an accurate record of events, both ancient and modern. It also seeks to chart the history of the Norman Barnewall family as it affects Drimnagh, by going back to the earliest official records, which began in the thirteenth century.
